Student Led Conferences

We are set for our families to visit us for Student Conferences in Room 2. There is lots of excitement as the kids prepare for our visitors. We hope you enjoy your time in our classroom.

Here are our thoughts:
I am excited to show my whole class to my parents. -Mercedes
I'm excited for parent teacher because I know two things that I want at the book fair. -Ryder
The Book Fair is a popular stop.
I'm excited because my mom and dad are going to be so proud of me. I like to learn about numbers. -Grayson
I am looking forward to playing Domino Parking Lot with them. -Marley

Thank you for coming out to celebrate with us. We have been working hard and we hope you are proud of our accomplishments this term. It is heartwarming to see the students share their learning with others. Our families are such a vital part of our growth and development and for that we are truly grateful.

Student Led Conferences

We had a visit from a leprechaun this morning, but no one could find him! That certainly started our day with lots of excitement. We are really happy to have our families come to our classroom to see what we have been up to over the last few months.

Here are our thoughts:
I want to show my mom and dad the basketball game. It is a math game. I am good at it. -Callum
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm excited for my mom and dad to come and see how smart I am. -Naomi
I am looking forward to showing my portfolio. -Landyn
I hope that my parents think that my work is good. -Russell A.
I am excited to for Friday because my parents are coming to see my work and I am going to a magic show. -Josh
I want to read Elephant and Piggie to my mom and dad. -Cody
I am excited for my mom and dad to check out my work. I hope they will like it. -Cady

So Much to Celebrate!

Thank you to all the parents who came to our student led conferences last week. It was such a wonderful time to celebrate all the amazing accomplishments in Term 1.

Here are our thoughts:
I enjoyed playing Domino Parking Lot with my parents. -Anna

I was excited because I got to show my mom and dad my work. -Gavin

We appreciated the positive comments that were shared at conferences. Thanks for being part of our celebration. The students were excited to show their work and to spend time with their parents in our classroom. I'm so proud of all the learning we have done. . . and there is so much more to come. Student Led Conferences

We had our student led conferences on Thursday after school and Friday morning. It was great to see the students celebrating their accomplishments this term with their families. It is a privilege spending my days working with incredible young people and also getting to meet their parents. Thank you to the families for coming out to share in your child's learning. Grade 1 is a fascinating time of growth, both academically and socially. We are learning so many things to cover the curriculum, but we are also discovering ways to be kind to people and to own our words and actions. Students, parents and teachers working together to build a positive learning environment warms my heart. Thank you parents for your continued support and encouragement.

I showed my mom, dad and brother my work. They said, "Good job." -Brianna
I liked showing them my Terry Fox paper. I ran 5 provinces. -Saydee
I liked showing my parents the plasticine I mixed and put on the paper. -Kyla

When we were practicing Brianna and I looked inside our portfolios and shared our work. -Diamond

My parents said they were proud of my work. -Reese
My mom said that she liked my line art on the wall. -Hunter
I liked that they said that all of my things were really nice and good. -Shelby
I liked that I showed my number of the day, number 6. -Kody
