Our Wonders

There are so many questions and wonders we have every day. It is our hope that we keep that sense of wonder alive at school. Today we talked about many questions and curiosities we have. It was exciting to hear the kids share their thinking with each other. We will have lots of opportunities to fill our board with our wonders and we will see where this takes us as we explore our questions further.

First day of Grade 1!
The past few days have been filled with some anxious moments and lots of excitement. Welcome to Room 2!

Welcome to Grade 1 Room 2! We are very excited for the start of the 2018-2019 school year. During the next few weeks we will be busy getting to know each other and becoming familiar with the new routines in our day. Our goal is to create a caring, positive learning community for our children.

Ms. Moyer and Mrs. Tresoor will work with the students on developing their reading, writing and math skills daily. Ms. Moyer will also be teaching science and health when she is at school on Days 1, 3, 5 and Mrs. Tresoor will be teaching social studies and art on days 2, 4, 6. Many subjects will be integrated across the curriculum so we will be able to get a very good understanding of your child's development.

We will be using a clear zip lock bag to transport important information. We are calling this our "mail bag". We ask that you use this bag to send any notes that you would like us to receive as these will be checked daily. Please have your child return it to school each day. We will also be using REMIND as a form of communication to inform you of important dates and upcoming events. Please sign up using directions sent with the September calendar or click the icon on the sidebar to take you to the Remind site. We can also be reached by email: lmoyer@retsd.mb.ca and ctresoor@retsd.mb.ca We invite you to follow our adventures on Instagram: @wonderingones

Thank you for helping us get off to a great start. We know it is a learning experience for all of us as we get back into the swing of things. We look forward to working together to have an AMAZING year!
